Remote Learning Policy
In accordance with statutory guidelines, the Department for Education (DfE)ask that schools provide information on remote education provision. It is aligned to the expectations for remote education, to which schools must have regard under the temporary continuity direction given by the Secretary of State for Education. This information is intended to provide clarity and transparency to pupils, parents and carers about what to expect from remote education if Covid-19 local restrictions require them to remain at home and/or if they need to self-isolate.
How long can I expect work set by the school to take my child each day?
We expect that remote education (including remote teaching and independent work) will take pupils broadly the following number of hours each day:
Key Stage 1 pupils
Key Stage 2 pupils
- Home Learning for our Reception class will be via tasks set on the Tapestry app, please contact a member of the EYFS team if you require any assistance. Some live or pre-recorded sessions will be delivered via Google Classroom, using your child’s school email account. Please see below, or the EYFS class page, for further guidance.
- Pupils in year 1 to 6 will access Home Learning via Google Classroom using their school email accounts. Class teachers will provide a daily timetable, including details of timings for the live lessons. Please see below, or your child’s class page, for further guidance.
- We aim to continue the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum covering the core learning of Maths and English as well as Science, Topic, P.E, Art, Music and French.
