We all became paleontologist yesterday on their Cornerstone visit to Dino Land!!
They dug up fossils, found out facts and enjoyed workshops including cookery school, bone yard and slime making!
As part of our science lesson, we 1 enjoyed a nature walk to discuss the great outdoors on a hunt to identify deciduous and evergreen trees. We then took bark rubbings from some of the deciduous trees growing in our playground.
We have been enjoying the lovely Spring weather. We went outside to investigate our woodland area, and listened to the story of the Gruffalo. We then used natural resources to make some transient art inspired by the artist Andy Goldsworthy.
We have been busy learning how to make bread
We started the week with an assembly by the School Council looking at the book “We all saw a cat”. We then worked as a team to make our class cat. Later the in the week we enjoyed sharing books with reading buddies from Year 4.
We had a visit from some furry, scaly and prickly friends as an introduce this term Cornerstones topic paws, claws and whiskers!
