We have been using a range of percussion instruments to create music!
We started the week with an assembly by the School Council looking at the book “We all saw a cat”. We then worked as a team to make our class cat. Later the in the week we enjoyed sharing books with reading buddies from Year 3. We also practised our team skills outside with the parachute!

We wrapped up warm and went outside to practice our numeracy skills!
We have been very busy this morning baking friendship biscuits for our buddy.
The children have now started their phonics lessons. Each child has a green folder and as each new sound is taught a sheet showing the letter and it’s formation will be sent home. Each child has a red reading diary and we really appreciate any comments about reading at home. Many thanks Reception Team.
We have been busy practising our Phonics in class this week with Mrs Olufemi.
Autumn fun with a pumpkin! We described the sight, smell and feel of the pumpkin, we will now watch to see what happens to the pumpkin over the next week…
